Larry Womack, MD
Dr. Womack is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is also 
certified in LASIK by the American College of Eye Surgeons. In addition, he is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the International Society of Refractive Surgery of the American Academy of Ophtholmology. He has performed over 30,000 laser vision correction surgeries and is experienced in a variety of refractive procedures including RK, ALK, INTACS, LASIK, LASEK and PRK. He is certified using only the best laser platform technology, including the VISX Star S4 Customvue laser and the Intralase Femtosecond laser. Dr. Womack has been recognized by TLC as one of the Top 5 LaserVision surgeons in the U.S. since 1998.
Steven J. Ferguson, OD
Dr. Steve Ferguson is now in his 24th year as an Optometric physician. He founded Dunes Eye Consultants in 2003 and opened Dunes LASIK Center in 2008. Prior to moving to Siouxland in 1998 he founded Heartland EyeCare Centers in rural Minnesota and was a staff member of three hospitals. Dr. Ferguson served as the Clinic Director of LASIK services in Sioux City for Vance Thompson Vision from 1998 to 2003. Dr. Ferguson is recognized nationally as one of the most experienced Optometrists in consultative LASIK clinical care.
Training/Education
Dr. Ferguson received his Bachelor of Science from Buena Vista University in 1983 and his Doctor of Optometry in 1987 from the University of Houston. He was an extern at the OMNI Eye Medical Center of Omaha, NE in 1987. Dr. Ferguson did a one year post-graduate fellowship in clinical refractive surgery at Ophthalmology, Ltd. in 1999.
Honors
Dr. Ferguson was named Minnesota’s first ever “Young Optometrist of the Year” in 1991 by the Minnesota Optometric Association (MOA). In 1995 he was elected President of the 475 member MOA. Dr. Ferguson served on the Mayo Clinic Diabetic Eye Conference task force that received National recognition from the Center for Disease Control. Dr. Ferguson has lectured at numerous educational meetings and has written several clinical articles published in professional journals.
